ROTARY SCHOOL, BENGERI …..our path towards Success

A trust named as “Rotary Educational and Welfare Organisation” was formed on 19 May 1993 under the chairmanship of Late Rtn V S Joshi to provide quality education and personality development to the deprived poor students of the area. A Rotary Pre-primary and Primary school was commenced in 1994-95 under the able leadership of Rtn Basil D’Souza. A higher primary school in 1998-99 and a higher secondary school in 2001-02 came into existence with an inauguration and blessings of many a stalwarts in public service.
An English-medium primary was commenced in 2003-04 to provide education to the poor and talented students. An English medium high school was commenced in 2011-12 to meet the growing needs of the community.
So far, 12 batches of SSLC in Kannada medium and 2 batches of English medium have appeared the Board exams. The students of both media have passed cent per cent and brought laurels to the school.
The first Interact Club was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hubli East in secondary school in 2001-02 and since then the Interactors are extending their social service in Pulse Polio campaign and many other activities with the sponsor Rotary club. The Interact club has won many RI Presidential citations and awards. Miss Divya Awaji of our school was elected and served as the Disrict Interactors Representative in RI Dist 3170 in 2012-13 and it is a matter of great pride to the school.
To expose and to bring it to the limelight the potential brilliance of the students is the annual ritual – conducting many cultural activities, establishment and exhibition of science club activities Scouts and Guides, School Parliament, National festivals, Christmas, summer camps, excursion trips, Kannada Sangha, Bedan Powel –Scouts and Guides founder day, Paul Harris Rotary founders day are being observed with various competitions and awards to the winners. The
School is represented every year in Talents pool contest. Miss Manjulata Hadapad in Telugu speech in 2012-13 and Miss Priyanka Shindhe in Marathi speech in 2015-16 have participated in the State level competitions.
The School is well equipped with Library, Sports equipments, Science lab equipments and computers. The students are being imparted with computers education.
Each class room is equipped with Smart class. Observing birthdays of teachers and students, re-union of past students on 26th Jan every year,free bicycles to the poor girl srudents, Ksheerbhagya, Akshar Dasoha and free text books to the primary school children are given.
Thus, the school has a very bright future and hope of carving a niche in educational field.
